Find the correct shop
The hub separates training equipment from general movement and carrying upgrades. Look for the Dumbbells Shop label before buying. Speed shortens travel; Carry increases transport space; neither directly replaces a better training rate.
Compare four things

Use a repeatable test
- Record the visible Strength counter.
- Perform the same training action for a short fixed interval.
- Record the new counter and estimate the time needed for the wall.
- Compare the next dumbbell's displayed improvement and cost.
- Buy only if the reduced training time advances a route you can complete.
This avoids choosing equipment only because its name or appearance seems rare. Your useful metric is the improvement between your current training rate and the requirement that blocks the next Egg loop.
When not to buy another dumbbell
If the wall already breaks comfortably, training may not be the bottleneck. Long return journeys point to Speed. A full transport slot points to Carry. No room at the plot points to farm expansion. Slow recurring income points to the Animals currently working at home.
